From October 3rd to January 31st Athens Academy will be hosting their 35th annual Artscape show! Preschool to Upper School students can either be in the digital or the in person show. Students are selected by their art teachers and then their art is put on display.
The digital show will be on a TV in the Myers Gallery at the same time. There are all types of artwork including clay, painting, drawing, and many others. It is a chance for students to show their family and friends the great artwork they did the previous school year.
“My favorite thing about Artscape is presenting my art and showing it to the community,” says Katherine Bright. There is a preschool/lower school section and middle and upper school are both spread throughout.
After the exhibit is over artwork will be placed around campus and it is usually given back within a year or two. This allows more people to see the art. Classrooms in the middle school have artwork from many grade levels and so do the offices. Students are eager to attend this event and see their artwork displayed for everyone to see
