Dear Miss.Know-It-All,

I am worried that my best friend is having a party without me. We have been best friends since 1st grade! I heard her talking about the party with other people. One time I walked up to her and some other people, and they immediately quieted down.

What if this starts to happen often? What if we’re drifting apart? I don’t want this to happen at all. We have always gone to the same parties, and we have always included each other in them. Is this the end of that? What should I do?

Dear PartyProblems,

That is an interesting problem. I would advise that you talk about it. What if it’s a surprise party for you? You never know, so you should never jump to conclusions or make assumptions.

If you talk to her, and she says it’s true that there is a party, you should tell her how it makes you feel. If she denies it, she could be lying, but you never know. It is just one party, so you shouldn’t worry too much about it.

If this happens again, you guys might be drifting apart. You might not be drifting apart, but you honestly never know. The sky will not crash down if you guys drift apart. You can always find new people to hang out with.

Sincerely,

Miss.Know-It-All.
