From October 21 to October 31 this year, Athens Academy will host 20 German students on our campus! They will tour Athens Academy and sit in on classes for several days, and then they will experience American culture on the weekends with their host families. Then, they will head to Savannah for a few days to tour the city.
“I’m excited to host because I really want to get to share the American experience with Germans,” says Andrew Caldwell, a junior and one of the 20 host students. The fun doesn’t end there, though, as the hosting students have a chance to visit Germany over spring break for 10 days.
It is an amazing opportunity where students can immerse themselves in German culture, eat Döner Kebab, and visit historic landmarks, castles, and churches in Germany.
