On October 18, the seventh and eighth grade attended a fall dance. The dance was hosted in the Tillman Center at 8:00 pm, and it lasted two hours. Before the dance, girls and boys in each grade went to a dinner party at 7:00. For the seventh grade, girls met up at the Garrards’ house and the boys met at the Luncefords’ house, while the eighth grade boys enjoyed dinner at the Thiemes’ house and the girls at the Templins’ house. After arriving at the party, people began to line up for the photo booth where lots of silly photos were taken. They danced and had fun while the DJ blasted songs and the fog machine filled the room with fog. A teacher and an eighth grade student tell us about that night.
First, I interviewed Mrs. Marvel about her thoughts on how the night went. She thinks that, “It was really fun. I liked getting to see how creative students got with the red, white, and blue and patriotism.”
Next, I interviewed Millie Roberts about her experience before and during the dance. She thinks that the best part of it is getting to be with friends and just having fun. When talking about how the eighth graders set up the decorations, Millie said, “During study hall, we went and set up Tillman and got everything cute.”
Overall, the fall dance was a hit and the seventh and eighth grade had lots of fun.
